PA Emissions and Safety Inspection

The Lebanon County CTC’s Adult Education Program offers quarterly classes for Pennsylvania Emissions and Safety Inspection certification. A total of nine classes are offered over three weeks. Program Specifics

Emissions Inspector Certification (8-hour / 1 Week class / 3 Nights)

6 PM Start – 9 PM Approximate Finish

$140.00 Course Total (additional $35 per added category)

PA Safety Inspection Mechanic Certification (16-hour / 2 Week class / 6 Nights)

6 PM Start – 9 PM Approximate Finish

$240.00 Course Total (additional $35 per added category)

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. It is recommended that course applicants have basic auto mechanical knowledge to succeed in the program. Students should bring a notebook, pen / pencil, and highlighter on class nights. Payment must be made in full prior to the start of class. We accept cash on site, check / money order, and credit cards.

Important Notices Regarding the Classes:

  • Refunds will not be issued for those who elect to drop the course without a full week’s notice. Payment is required prior to the start of the class and reserves the student’s place.
  • A copy of the applicant’s driver’s license must accompany the student’s registration form.
  • Participants who wish to test in additional categories will have a $35 per category charge.
  • All students will be added to the PennDOT portal prior to the beginning of class. Students must go to the website below to register, access and pay for course materials (training manuals and test package).
  • Students are expected to read through the training manuals before beginning the classes. If you have access to a printer, please print the books and bring them to the class.
