All applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. It is recommended that course applicants have basic auto mechanical knowledge to succeed in the program. Students should bring paper, pen / pencil, and highlighter on class nights. Payment must be made in full prior to the start of class. We accept cash on site, check / money order, and credit cards. Safety manuals must be printed, pre-read, and brought to class.
Please indicate on the application which courses you are registering to join, ie: Emissions or Safety Inspection (or both) under interested programs AND which categories you need.
Category 1 – passenger vehicles and light trucks
Category 2 – motorcycle
Category 3 – heavy trucks, buses, and trailers
Important Notices Regarding the Classes:
- Refunds will not be issued for those who elect to drop the course without a full week’s notice. Payment is required prior to the start of the class and reserves the student’s place. Contact office for registration deadlines. Please note – classes will not run if too few participants enroll. Refunds will be issued if the classes are cancelled.
- A copy of the applicant’s valid driver’s license must accompany the student’s registration form.
- Participants who wish to test in additional categories will have a $50 per category charge.
- All students will be added to the PennDOT portal prior to the beginning of class. Students must go to the website below to register, access and pay for course materials (training manuals and test package).
- Students are expected to print and read through the training manuals before beginning the classes and can be found on the Penndot website, DMV website, or the PennDot portal.
