Position Title: Instructional Coach

Location: Lebanon County Career and Technology Center

The Lebanon County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) is now accepting applicants for the position of Instructional Coach. This is a 189-day, full-time professional position.

Performance Responsibilities: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following fundamental duties:

  • Build and maintain confidential relationships with teachers and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of others.
  • Develop and coordinate instructional interventions in all CTE programs.
  • Coordinate and support school-wide initiatives.
  • Model best practices in the use of evidence based instructional strategies within the CTE classroom.
  • Identify and assess classroom needs using student data; problem solve with teachers.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop materials aligned to program task lists and industry standards for individual CTE programs in support of skills achievement and provide resources.
  • Organize coaching and professional development activities to meet the professional development needs of the teaching staff in individual and group settings.
  • Support teacher implementation and use of LMS, SIS, and instructional technology tools.
  • Interpret assessment data for the purpose of providing remedial instruction in effort to meet proficiency on NOCTI/NIMS.
  • Develop annual, measurable goals for increasing student achievement on NOCTI/NIMS tests.
  • Attend local and state workshops as defined by administration, including participation in coaching network meetings.
  • Organizes, plans, presents, and monitors new teacher induction program and mentor program along with assistant director.
  • Collaborate with administrators regarding professional development and staff needs
  • Manage, organize, and submit PIMS required data reports
  • Support development of competency guides and curriculum documents
  • Knowledge of equity issues in current education reform
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory
  • Maintain accurate records

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education required.
  • CTE II, Instructional II, Master’s and/or Instructional Coach Endorsement preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years classroom teaching experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a career and technical education setting preferred.
  • Experience providing educational leadership and professional development.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education certification required.
  • Excellent organizational, human relations, written, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with teachers and administrators.
  • Must be able to acknowledge and utilize the skills and expertise of others.
